beach wedding invitations
do invitations have to match wedding colors?

I am having a beach wedding but I have already booked the wedding and have no idea what the colors are going to be yet so I just got the invitations with the beach scene at sunset (which is the time of my wedding) so would it be ok to choose the colors later?

Bottomline is the fact that it is YOU wedding. You can do whatever you want that will make your wedding day perfect for you.

The Bridesmaids at my first wedding wore yellow and the maid of honor wore peach/light orange and I wore White. I made my own lace and satin wedding dress with a long lace wedding train. I sewed the matron of honor’s peach colored dress as she didn’t know how to sew. The two bridesmaids were in yellow dresses.
The wedding invitations were high gloss red paper with raised gold writing with English on the right side and Chinese characters on the Left side both saying the same thing. At the Chinese 9 course banquet dinner I changed from the wedding dress to the custom Pink Chinese dress.

My second wedding I found the perfect creme colored dress in the store when I was standing at the cashier counter paying for the girls’ Peach colored bridesmaid dresses, when I glanced over at the off the shoulder creme colored wedding dress that was hanging behind the register counter and fell in love with it. I was afraid it was above my budget so I asked my matron of honor to take a peek and if it was under $300 to tell me, but if not, just not tell me. She took a peek and it was $250. I bought it as it was ivory lace and the neckline was perfect for a garden wedding at Villa Montalvo. We had similar colors for our Chinese Wedding invitation which was Gold writing both in English and Chinese on high gloss Red background.
For the Chinese nine course (standard) wedding banquet I changed into the custom made Red & Gold Chinese dress with the two slits up both sides at the hips. My mother-in-law gave me her black silk Chinese short jacket with gold embroidery. I thought she was just loaning it to me, but she said that she was giving it to me. I was amazed!
